Without making myself sound too boring, I will say I am married for 34 years and have one married daughter and 3 grandchildren. I work part-time doing independent contract work for retail stores and also work for the Catholic Schools Lunch Program. Enough to keep me in spending money! I belong to several online art groups, the biggest being AAWA. This group has expanded my horizons in mixed media artistry. I enjoy altering items such as cigar boxes, bottles and books to name a few. I like to do collage, iris folding, ATCs, 4x4s, inchies, and plain old card making. I have dabbled with clay, made domino jewelry and glass slide pieces. I don't mind trying new things, but I am a visual person and need to see an example or have hands on guidance. Maybe that's an age thing!
This is my first attempt at making a lemon meringe pie from scratch and I am so proud! It turned out great. I made it for our hockey player who was coming over for dinner while in town. It is one of his favorites and thought I'd surprise him. It passed his test---I got a thumbs up!!
Blue Bedroom
Redecorating Blues! I've just finished painting and decorating my guest room in this great baby blue and brown color scheme. I just love the colors and got brave and painted a stripe of brown as a border around the room. I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
Notre Dame Hockey Time!
We went to Omaha to watch Billy play against UNO in 2 games this last weekend. It was such an exciting time and Billy got 2 goals the first game and one of them was the winning goal in OT! It doesn't get any better than that!! That's our boy!

It's Hockey Time in Waterloo!
Our new hockey player from Cottage Grove, MN. Dan is a defenseman and is 18 yrs. old. He will be living with us for the 2008-09 Waterloo Black Hawks season. Go Dan!
My Grandkids with their mom
These are my kiddos, who are 10, 9, and 5. They live in PA right now and I miss them terribly. Love you guys!
Wine cork wreath
This is what 200 wine corks looks like after you've drank the wine! The base is an 18" straw wreath with the corks hot glued on and small bunches of grapes attached. Very easy and fun to make,(especially drinking the wine!) I have since added a grape themed ribbon bow and a corkscrew in the upper right after some suggestions by readers. Thanks!.
